Our Vision

Our vision is to create a welcoming cultural centre where people from all backgrounds can come together to celebrate the richness and uniqueness of cultures from around the world.

As Romani people, we come from a culture that has travelled across borders and communities for generations. Without a country of our own, we have learned to understand different people, traditions, languages, and ways of life. We believe this gives us a unique perspective on what it means to belong, connect, and celebrate culture.

The Romani Community aims to bring that understanding to everyone by creating a place where cultures can be shared, respected, and celebrated. Through music, dance, food, art, education, storytelling, and community events, we want to connect people and build a stronger, more inclusive community — while keeping Romani culture and heritage at the heart of who we are.

Our mission is to bring people together through culture.

The Romani Community is a cultural centre rooted in Romani heritage and open to everyone. We create a welcoming space where people can celebrate their own culture, discover others, and build meaningful connections.

Through music, dance, food, art, education, storytelling, and community events, we celebrate the diversity that makes each person and culture unique.

We believe culture brings people together — and everyone has a story worth sharing.
